Uniquely designed and manufactured, Select-A-Rail
has many useful applications in log homes, ski resorts, fishing
lodges, vacation cottages, etc.

Select-A-Rail is a Western Red Cedar building product manufactured
with profiled round and square balusters, plus bottom and handrail.
It is made with full sawn 3x4 or 3x6 STK & BTR FOHC (FOHC limits
splits and checking when exposed to harsh weather). Bottom rails
are sloped to reduce water pooling and rot. Matching spindles are
available in 1" or 3" STK & BTR FOHC, with no prior
selection for clear. Each spindle is bottom dadoed to lock onto
the bottom rail spline for extra stability and ease of installation.

Inter-grown (live) knots are the major characteristic of Western
Red Cedar STK. This product is our specialty. Securing high quality
raw materials and monitoring our in-house quality control procedures
during processing ensures a high recovery factor. We carry large
volumes of 2 x 3 to 2 x 12 rough, kiln-dried industrial STK. Our
large inventory allows us to quickly ship product to industrial
accounts for further manufacture, or as finished product to distributors,
in large or small volumes. We run most patterns.

Another quality Western Red Cedar product from PWC. We do not pull
out STK from this grade. We run Appearance Dimension as a separate
(not fall down) program to our STK line. The grade is 2&BTR
/ STD&BTR no hole appearance with light to no wane.

At PWC we custom-cut our timbers rough full sawn with a re-sawn
appearance quality - no hole, no rot, no wane.
There are 3 grades to choose from: 2&BTR Appearance, No.1 Select
(STK), and No.1 Select FOHC (Free Of Heart Center). We have the
equipment available to surface, resaw, or rougher head timbers,
in any size up to 50 feet. No order is too small or too large.

Graded as No.1 Select Knotty (STK). Available in three finishes:
turned, sanded, and hand hewn. Turned and sanded poles range in
size from 6" - 18" in diameter and 8' - 30' in length.
We also manufacture smaller sized profiled poles, from 2" -
4", available with a smooth, planer-type finish.
Hand hewn poles are also available in smaller and larger sizes.
